VT-7927 is a wall light built from three glowing rings of different sizes, hung one over another on a cylindrical matt gold wall bracket. The rings are continuous opal light tubes — their whole length glows, with no visible dots. The piece measures 34 cm wide by 46 cm tall.
This is not an ordinary sconce — it is 3940 lm
The most important figure here is a surprising one: 37 W and 3940 lm. A typical decorative wall light gives 300–800 lm; this gives five times that, which is main-lighting territory rather than accent. For scale: 3940 lm is roughly five classic 60 W bulbs, or the whole ceiling fitting of a 20 m² living room.
Two things follow. First, one unit can light a room — but it does so asymmetrically, off a wall, so it belongs where it is meant to create an effect rather than fill a space evenly: above a sofa, on a stairwell wall, in a reception area, in a hallway. Second, at this brightness the mounting height matters — at eye level the glowing tubes will dazzle.
Colour and light quality — from the EPREL register
The fitting is registered in the European EPREL database under number 1547494, which lets its figures be quoted without marketing rounding:
-
3000 K, a single value — the colour is fixed, and the fitting is neither colour-changing nor CCT-selectable.
-
CRI 81 — respectable, typical of general lighting.
-
R9 = 12 — worth knowing: R9 describes the rendering of deep red, and at 12 red textiles, timber and skin will look flatter than they are. Against a wall in beige, white and grey you will not notice at all; above a red sofa you will.
-
Colour consistency 6 SDCM — fairly loose. If you buy two for the same wall, expect them possibly to glow at slightly different shades of white.
- Energy efficiency class F. That is not an error despite a respectable 107 lm/W — the scale for light sources is severe, and class E begins only at 110 lm/W.
Flicker and dimming
EPREL records PstLM = 1.0 and SVM = 0.9 for this fitting — exactly the maximum values the regulations allow. In practice that means it is not the right choice where a camera is recording (stroboscopic effect), nor as the main light for long working sessions for anyone sensitive to flicker. For decorative wall lighting it makes no difference.
The fitting is dimmable, but not with every dimmer — the manufacturer declared "specific" dimming in EPREL, meaning only with selected, compatible dimmers. Confirm with the seller before buying one. The power factor is 0.7, which is irrelevant for a single fitting but does matter with a dozen of them in a commercial installation.
Build and installation
The wall bracket and arm are finished in matt gold, the rings in opal, milky white. The LED source is permanently built in — there is no bulb to change, and when the diodes are spent the whole fitting is replaced. It connects directly to L/N conductors (no socket), supply 220–240 V / 50 Hz.
Protection IP20 — dry interiors only. Net weight 1.0 kg. The manufacturer states a life equivalent to about 18 years at three hours a day and over 15,000 on/off cycles, so it tolerates frequent switching.
