V-TAC VT-876 GU10 Recessed Downlight Fitting white round Ø8.5 cm 75 mm cut-out

VT-876 is the fitting alone for a GU10 lamp – a round recessed ring 8.5 cm across the outer flange and 3.2 cm deep, in white. It contains no electronics, no LED module and no bulb: it is a mounting part, and the light source is chosen separately.

A 75 mm cut-out – the number everything depends on

With a recessed fitting this is the one dimension you cannot change later. VT-876 needs a ø 75 mm aperture, and the visible 85 mm flange covers its edge with 5 mm to spare all round. 75 mm is the most common cut-out size, so the fitting also suits replacing older halogen downlights without reworking the ceiling – it is only worth measuring the existing hole before buying.

What decides the light

Since the fitting has neither optics nor a source of its own, the GU10 lamp decides everything: colour temperature, flux, beam angle and colour rendering are all its figures. The manufacturer permits lamps up to 35 W on a 220–240 V, 50 Hz supply – a limit that also covers older halogen lamps; GU10 LEDs typically draw 4–7 W, so there is ample headroom. With a 32 mm recess depth plus the lamp's own height, allow roughly 8–10 cm of clear space above the ceiling.

Construction

The body combines aluminium with polycarbonate: the aluminium takes heat from the lamp, the polycarbonate forms the flange and structural part. An IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry interiors – not the shower zone of a bathroom, and not outdoors. The manufacturer declares CE, EMC and RoHS conformity and gives a 3-year warranty.
