WILLY is Scandinavian seating in its classic form: a plain block on set-back, tapered wooden legs, a low back with four-button tufting and two large seat cushions. This version has a sleeping function, so it does double duty — a sofa in the living room and a bed for a guest.
The sleeping area
Opened out it gives 180 × 139 cm. That is a genuinely two-person size — the width matches a standard 180 cm bed — although the 139 cm length puts this sofa in the role of a guest bed rather than a permanent one. Measure the clear floor in front of it before ordering: the seat travels forward as it opens.
Fabric and colour
The upholstery is FRUITY RV81 velvet in the shade "aronia" — despite the name it is a deep navy, not purple. Velvet changes its apparent lightness with the viewing angle and with the direction the pile is stroked; in the photographs that shows as soft gradients across the back and the arms.
The wood
The legs are beech in a walnut finish (joinery code 7030) — dark, warm timber set deliberately against the navy. CustomForm also builds the WILLY series with natural, white and black joinery.
Dimensions — and one note from the maker
The sofa measures 230 cm long, 97 cm deep and 68 cm high, with a seat height of 42 cm. The manufacturer quotes upholstered dimensions with a ±2% tolerance. Note also their own caveat: on the version with the sleeping function the legs are lower than in the reference photographs — the folding mechanism needs room under the seat.
Made to order
WILLY is not held in stock. Every piece is upholstered after the order is placed, and the maker quotes a lead time of up to 25 working days. That is the price of being able to choose the fabric and the wood finish — but if you are planning a move or a refit, the time has to be counted in.
