The Zambelis 2576 is an 80 cm round disc in brick red, crossed by two matt black rods 72 cm long — and it is the rods that light. This is not a wall light you add to a room; it is the element a room arranges itself around.

A scale you have to plan for

Eighty centimetres across and 7.35 kg are the dimensions of a painting, not a bedside lamp. It needs a clear, flat wall and a fixing into something load-bearing — plasterboard plugs without reinforcement will not do. It projects only 7.2 cm from the wall, so despite the size it stays out of the way in a corridor or on a staircase.

This is a light source, not an ornament

The built-in LED delivers 4080 lm from 30 W — enough to light a stairwell, a hall or a living room on its own. The rods emit all round (360°), so part of the output goes into the room and part lies on the disc and brings out its brick colour. The effect changes with the hour: switched off, the disc is a matt ceramic accent; switched on, a luminous object.

Colour and colour fidelity

The colour temperature of 3000 K is warm white. More telling are CRI 90 and SDCM < 5: walls, wood and fabric look natural, and if you hang a second unit beside it, both will shine in the same shade of white — with cheap fittings that is far from guaranteed.

Dimming with an ordinary dimmer

The luminaire is Triac dimmable, that is, with a classic phase-cut dimmer in the wall box — no app, no gateway, no configuration. Use full output when the 2576 has to light the space; dimmed, it becomes an evening backdrop.

Installation and use

Surface mounting, supply 220–240 V straight from the mains. The fitting is safety class I — it must be connected to the protective earth. The light source is built in and not replaceable, with a declared life of L70B50 30 000 h; at four hours a day that is over twenty years. The IP20 rating restricts it to dry rooms.
