The V-TAC VT-7662 is an outdoor wall light 25 cm tall with a square 85 × 87 mm section that throws light up and down at once. Two GU10 lampholders point in opposite directions, so the wall carries a symmetrical pair of light cones — the standard answer for facades, entrances and driveways.
Why up and down
A fitting that only throws downward leaves the wall above it dark and reads as a blotch on the facade. The up-down arrangement draws two symmetrical arcs on the render, which turns the light into part of the building's composition rather than just a function. In practice it also gives light at two levels: the lower beam covers steps, a threshold or a path, while the upper one picks out the wall texture and lifts the overall brightness of the entrance.
Stainless steel and IP44
The body is stainless steel in a white finish — on a fitting that stays outdoors permanently, the material is what decides how it looks after a few seasons. IP44 means resistance to splashing water from any direction, which covers rain driven at an angle. The manufacturer quotes an operating range of −25 to +50 °C, covering a northern European winter with margin to spare.

The fitting takes two GU10 lamps of up to 11 W each. That ceiling is higher than is usual for outdoor fittings and leaves room for stronger LED lamps where an entrance needs more light; the colour temperature is yours to choose.
