The VT-120112 in white is a small facade wall light shaped as a column, 71 x 71 x 171 mm. Light leaves it in two streams - up and down - drawing a pair of symmetrical cones on the wall. It does not light the space in front of it; its job is to bring out the texture of a wall, an entrance or a gate pier.
Adjustable beam spread, 0-90°
This is unusual at this price and the biggest difference from an ordinary up-down fitting. The beam can be set anywhere between 0 and 90°: at zero you get two narrow, hard lines of light hugging the wall; at 90°, broad soft fields that cover a larger stretch of facade. The same fitting can therefore work as an accent picking out the joints in stone, or as practical light beside a front door.
3-in-1 colour switch
Inside the housing sits a CCT switch with three positions: 2700 K, 3200 K and 4000 K. The colour is chosen once, at installation - once the fitting is closed the switch is out of reach, so the decision is best made before the body is bolted onto the base plate. 2700 K is very warm and suits timber and brick; 3200 K sits in between; 4000 K gives a neutral white that reads better on a driveway or steps. Dimming is not provided for - the fitting runs at full output only.
Light output
The SMD LED module draws 10 W and delivers 1250 lm, an efficacy of 125 lm/W - a very good figure for an exterior fitting. Colour rendering is above 90 and the red component R9 is 55; at that level brick, timber and rust-coloured render keep a saturation that CRI 80 fittings cannot give them. Colour consistency falls within 6 MacAdam ellipses, so a row along a facade will light in one shade. Start-up is instant - 0.001 s to full brightness.
Durability and installation
The housing is white-painted aluminium. IP65 means fully dust-tight and resistant to water jets; IK06 covers impact up to 1 J. Installation starts by removing the base plate with the supplied allen key; the plate then serves as a drilling template, and plugs and screws are included. The cable goes onto the terminal block - the manual explicitly requires proper earthing and connection by a qualified electrician. Finally the body slides onto the base and is locked with the set screws.
In service
Rated life is 20,000 hours over more than 15,000 switching cycles - at two hours a day, over twenty years. The light source is integrated and not replaceable: the manual states plainly that at end of life the whole luminaire is replaced. Energy class is E and the declared power factor is above 0.7. The warranty runs 2 years, assuming 10-12 hours of operation a day.
Variants
VT-120112 comes in three body colours: white (code 24345, offered here), black (24346) and corten (24347). All share identical electrical and optical figures - the choice is only whether the fitting should disappear against pale render or stand out from it.
