Artificial Monstera Plant 53 cm

The GD 3491 Monstera is an artificial potted plant 53 cm tall. The leaves carry the split-blade outline typical of a monstera and are made of textile rather than moulded plastic. The plant arrives set in a black grower's pot, with a pale swollen base to the stems and thin aerial roots hanging over the rim.

How big it is and what you actually get

The quoted 53 cm is the overall height, measured with the grower's pot included. The greenery itself therefore reaches lower — by roughly the height of the pot — and that is the figure to compare with wherever the plant is going to stand: on a chest of drawers, on a windowsill, or on the floor beside an armchair.

The box holds the plant in its black grower's pot and nothing else. The manufacturer states outright that the product requires a decorative cachepot: the black pot is a working one and was never intended as the finished look.

Choosing a cachepot for it

The grower's pot is 10 cm high, 12 cm across at the top rim, and tapers to 8 cm at the bottom — the three figures printed on the manufacturer's dimension drawing. A cachepot therefore needs at least 12 cm of internal diameter for the pot to go in at all, and around 10 cm of depth for the black rim to disappear below its edge.

Leaves, placement and care

The leaves are textile and cut to shape rather than formed from a single piece of plastic. An artificial plant needs no watering, no feeding and no daylight, so it can stand where a living monstera would not grow: deep in a room, in a hallway, or in a space with no window.

The manufacturer specifies indoor use only, and names both domestic and professional settings.
