ASTORGA is a round recessed ceiling light with a built-in LED module, set in a white plastic frame with a flat opal diffuser across its whole face. Once fitted, only the narrow 22.2 cm rim shows below the ceiling — the entire body is 2.6 cm tall and sits above the board. The form is plain: a smooth disc with a thin edge.

What hole to cut and how much space the fitting needs

The manufacturer specifies a cut-out of 19.5 to 21 cm in diameter. The 22.2 cm rim covers the edge of the opening with margin, so the hole does not have to be cut perfectly clean. Two spring clips, visible on the sides of the body, hold the light in the opening: you press them upwards, push the fitting into the ceiling, and on release the springs pull the rim tight against the board.

The body is only 2.6 cm tall, so a shallow void above the ceiling board is enough — compare that figure with the space left in your own suspended ceiling. The light is rated for 230 V, which means it connects to an ordinary ceiling circuit with no separate low-voltage driver to buy.

How much light ASTORGA gives

The 24 W LED module is permanently built in and included — there is no bulb to buy, but the light source also cannot be replaced once it wears out. The manufacturer rates it for 25,000 hours, which at three hours a day works out to more than twenty years of use.

An output of 1920 lm is main-lighting territory rather than mood lighting — roughly what two and a half traditional 60 W bulbs gave. The colour temperature is 3000 K, a warm white: slightly whiter than a classic bulb, yet without a cool, bluish cast. The 120-degree beam means the light spreads wide from the flat diffuser instead of forming a narrow cone, so the fitting lights the area beneath it as a soft, broad pool rather than a sharp circle. A colour rendering index above Ra 80 is the standard level for living spaces.

Construction and warranty

Frame and diffuser are white plastic. The matt, milky surface of the diffuser hides the diodes, so you do not look straight at the light source. The fitting belongs to the ASTORGA series by Luces Exclusivas and carries a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
