Berlin 610WH is a round outdoor wall light, 27 cm in diameter, in cast aluminium powder-coated white (RAL 9003). The upper half of its clear, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser sits under an aluminium hood, and a horizontal bar runs across the front. It takes one E27 bulb, which is not included.
Dimensions and installation
The light is 27 cm across and projects 14 cm from the wall, a figure worth comparing with the width of the walkway it will hang beside. It weighs 1.69 kg and is fixed with two screws through ø5.3 mm holes spaced 170 × 45 mm. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², or 3 × 1.5 mm² when looped through, so several fittings can run from one line. The EPDM gland seals round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. The fitting is protection class I and needs an earth connection.
Light source and brightness
It takes an E27 bulb of A55–A60 shape, and the maker permits an LED lamp of up to 9 W — a larger bulb or a stronger source is ruled out. You change the bulb yourself. With such a lamp Norlys quotes a luminaire output of 468 lm, and it names the Philips Master LEDbulb 806 lm / 8.5 W / 2700 K as the matching lamp: warm, yellowish light as bright as an old 60 W bulb.
The hood shields the light from above, so most of it falls down and to the sides, onto the wall and the ground in front; 15% goes upward.
Toughness and use
IP54 means protection against dust and splashing water from any direction, and IK10 resistance to impacts of 20 J, the top of that scale. The diffuser and the gasket are available as spare parts. The Berlin family also includes a version with an opal diffuser (611) and LED models.
