DROP Line 2 is an element of Antigo's modular system: a black lacquered steel bar 60 cm long, finished at both ends with round lamp holders 8 cm across. The surface carries a textured finish, and light leaves the underside of both discs diffused, with no pronounced cone.

How much ceiling it takes up

The bar measures 60 cm and stands 3 cm off the ceiling, so it occupies a strip as wide as one disc — 8 cm. That is the dimension to compare with the length of the worktop or counter it is meant to hang over: two points 60 cm apart light a working stretch, not a whole room.

The same element mounts on a ceiling and on a wall, because the system is designed for both planes. The body is lacquered steel and the manufacturer gives it a 5-year warranty.

Which lamps to buy

Both holders take a GX53 base, and the manufacturer allows an LED lamp of up to 9 W in each. Lamps are not included, so colour temperature and brightness are your choice — usually 4000 K over a worktop, 2700–3000 K in a living room. Changing a lamp means lifting out the GX53 disc, with no dismantling of the fitting.

Two holders give two light points drawing up to 18 W in total. The fitting is intended for dry interiors and runs directly on 230 V, with no separate driver.

How to extend the run

DROP Line is a system you configure yourself. Alongside this element Antigo offers two arms — 60 cm and 100 cm — an angle piece for taking the line from ceiling to wall, and glare shields fitted when the light turns out too harsh. The elements join to one another, and the whole assembly, whatever its length, needs only one supply point.

In practice that means extending it calls for no new cable chased into the wall: one ceiling outlet feeds the entire configured line. The arms, the angle piece and the shields are separate items and are bought separately.
