The ZET 175 is a free-standing coat rack built from thin round metal tube with a matt gold finish. It is made of two rectangular frames that cross at about half height and splay apart at the bottom - seen from the side the silhouette forms a Z, which is where the model gets its name.
How much space it takes and where it stands
The rack is 175 cm tall and the splayed frames occupy a 60 by 60 cm square on the floor. Those 60 cm are the figure to compare with the width of your own hallway: adding the 80 cm of clear passage usually left beside a piece of furniture, about 140 cm of wall is needed.
The structure stands on the floor unaided, because all of its support comes from the spread between the two frames. Nothing has to be drilled into the wall and no space needs to be left for anchors, so the rack can be moved elsewhere without leaving fixing marks.
How clothes hang on it
The top crossbar of the taller frame is the only rail and runs close to the apex, roughly 175 cm above the floor. From that height even a long coat on a hanger does not reach the floor.
The crossing frame ends a little lower and forms a second, shorter crossbar. Apart from those two tubes there is nothing on the structure: no hooks, no shoe shelf, no hat rail - this is a rack meant for hangers and nothing else.
What it is made of
The whole piece is metal, with welded, rounded corners and no visible connectors or screws. The manufacturer states the colour as RAL 1111 gold; in close-up the finish is matt, with no mirror shine. The rack is made in Poland, and the colour is fixed on this article.
