Endon Higgledy 113860 almond white floor lamp base 132.7 cm E27, shade not included

Endon Higgledy 113860 is a steel floor lamp base finished in gloss almond white paint, supplied without a shade. A vertical stack of spheres rises from a round, stepped foot. This is not a ready-made lamp-and-shade combination: the shade and bulb are selected separately.

Allow for the shade as well as the base

The base alone measures 132.7 cm high and 28 cm in diameter. Endon recommends pairing it with a decorative fabric shade measuring 35 or 40 cm across. Consider those measurements separately: a wider shade extends beyond the foot, and the overall height of the finished lamp also depends on the chosen shade.

The stacked spheres remain a distinct feature even with a plain fabric. Their geometric repetition can work in a modern living room, bedroom, study or hotel room. Choosing this base gives you a starting point for your own combination rather than a predetermined lighting effect, since the separately purchased shade will also influence the light distribution.

One E27 LED bulb and a foot switch

The single E27 lampholder takes an LED bulb rated at no more than 10 W. No bulb is included. Choose brightness and light colour when buying the separate bulb; almond white describes the paint on the metal, not the colour temperature of the emitted light.

An inline foot switch turns the lamp on and off. The model is non-dimmable. Its cream cable is 2 m long and coordinates with the base. The manufacturer's official configuration specifies a UK three-pin plug and a 220–240 V, 50 Hz supply, so check connection compatibility with your intended socket before purchasing.

Assembly and care

Assemble the base fully before plugging it in. The instructions require a stable, flat surface and specify indoor use only, excluding bathrooms. When deciding where to put it, account for the diameter of the separate shade and route the cable away from walkways.

Endon specifies cleaning with a dry cloth only, without liquid or abrasive cleaners. Unplug the lamp before maintenance or bulb replacement. Allow the bulb to cool completely before changing it.
