Verina 76517 is an Endon flush ceiling light with a round, chrome-plated base 48 cm across, beneath which hang five shades. Each one is a lamp holder surrounded by faceted cut crystals and enclosed in a cylinder of clear glass — the light passes through the crystals first and then through the smooth glass diffuser.
Size and installation
The fitting is 48 cm in diameter and projects 15 cm below the ceiling. Endon designed it for low ceilings: where a pendant would eat into the headroom, this fitting stays tight to the ceiling while the five shades spread the light across almost half a metre.
It weighs 3.1 kg. It is protection class II, so it needs no earth conductor and connects to the 230 V supply with two wires.
Bulbs and dimming
The fitting has five G9 sockets, each taking an LED bulb of up to 3 W, so up to 15 W in total. Bulbs are not included. Endon recommends G9 LED filament bulbs — their visible filaments show well behind the clear glass and crystals, and you choose the colour of the light yourself when you buy them.
According to Endon the fitting is dimmable. That needs G9 LED bulbs marked as dimmable and a dimmer suited to them — the bulbs Endon lists alongside this fitting are non-dimmable, so with those the dimming will not work.
Finish and interior
The metalwork is chrome-plated to a high polish, and the base acts as a mirror that reflects the shades. Crystals, polished chrome and clear glass are the typical glamour combination: the fitting is decorative even when switched off. It suits a living room, bedroom or dining room, and the Verina range also includes pendants and a wall light in the same finish.
