ESQUEL is a pendant light in matt black metal: a slim cylinder hung on a thin wire, ending in a flat 15 cm disc at the bottom. The underside of the disc carries a white diffuser that sends the light downwards. It is fixed to the ceiling with a small cylindrical canopy 7 cm across and 4 cm high.
How much light it gives
The disc holds an integrated 11 W LED module rated at 414 lm and 3000 K. That output is roughly what an old 40 W bulb gave, and 3000 K is a warm white, softer than neutral office light. The light is concentrated on the surface below, so ESQUEL lights a worktop or table rather than the whole room; general lighting has to come from elsewhere.
The light source is included, so there is no bulb to buy, but the module cannot be swapped like a screw-in lamp. The fitting runs directly on 230 V mains.
Dimensions and where to hang it
From the ceiling to the bottom edge of the disc the lamp measures 160 cm. Compare that with the height of your own room: over a table, the bottom of a pendant usually sits 70–80 cm above the tabletop. The 15 cm disc lights a limited area beneath it, so over a longer table or a kitchen island a single lamp covers only part of the surface.
The plain, unornamented form and matt black finish suit modern interiors. The lamp is intended for use over a kitchen island and over a table.
