Famlight Muna Set of 5 Mix Lister pendant lamp - 5 glass globes - polished copper

Muna Set of 5 Mix Lister is a group of five hand-blown glass globes hung from a single round canopy in polished copper. The globes come in five diameters — 200, 250, 300, 350 and 400 mm — and hang at different lengths, so they form a cascade rather than a row. Two globes are clear, three are hand-painted in the amber Lister shade.

How much room it takes and how high to hang it

The whole group spreads 600 mm across, and from the ceiling to the bottom of the lowest globe it measures 1300 mm. Those 130 cm are the figure to compare with your own ceiling height: under a standard ceiling the lamp comes down to roughly the eye level of a standing adult, so its place is over a table or over something nobody walks under.

The canopy is 400 mm across and covers a standard ceiling box with plenty to spare. Over a table top the bottom of the lowest globe usually sits 70–80 cm above the surface — with this set that is a decision about where the canopy goes, because the cable lengths are fixed at the factory.

Which lamps you need to buy

Each globe holds an E27 socket, five in all, and the manufacturer rates each socket at a maximum of 40 W. No lamps are supplied. Five lamps of around 800 lm each give about as much light as five old 60 W incandescents, which is enough to serve as the main light over a table.

The glass is see-through, so the lamp stays visible inside every globe — the shape and colour of the lamp you choose are part of how the fitting looks. It runs on 230 V.

The glass and the metalwork

Every globe is blown by hand and the amber ones are painted by hand, so the shade and the thickness of the glass are not exactly repeatable. The fittings, cables and canopy are finished in polished copper. The lamp is made entirely in Poland and the manufacturer covers it with a two-year guarantee.
