CONNY 35/30 is a textile shade shaped as a truncated cone: 35 cm across at the bottom, tapering towards the top, 30 cm tall. The outer skin is Monaco fabric in petrol blue — a dark, muted blue with a green cast. The inside is lined with silver PVC.
The shade on its own — what you need with it
This is the shade alone. There is no stand, no lampholder, no cable and no bulb in the box; it drops onto an existing stand with an E27 holder. Rendl designed it for their own floor stands ALVIS, AMBITUS, CORTINA, NYC, NYC TRIPOD and WOODY, so it fits any of those without modification.
A diameter meant for a floor stand
35 cm is a floor-lamp measurement: above a slim stand the shade keeps its proportion, while on a low table base it would cover most of the base itself. At 348 g it puts little load on the holder ring and comes off one-handed when you change the lamp.
How it spreads light
The shade is open at the bottom and the silver lining throws light downwards — the main beam lands on the floor and the area immediately around the lamp. The Monaco fabric is translucent, so once the lamp is on the shade itself glows and casts a soft petrol-blue light sideways.
The holder takes an E27 lamp of up to 23 W. That ceiling is a thermal limit for the fabric and matters mainly with filament bulbs; an LED of 5–9 W is plenty, and 2700–3000 K gives warm evening light. No bulb is supplied.
Construction
The shade is rigid and holds a regular cone — the bottom edge does not ripple. The silver PVC lining is smooth and wipes clean with a damp cloth. The petrol colour reads differently by light: cool grey with a blue undertone in daylight, distinctly blue once the lamp is lit.
