Seco is a string of ten miniature clear glass bottles threaded on a twisted silver wire 120 cm long. Each bottle is filled with gold glitter, carries a silver ribbon bow at the neck and glows from inside with the warm light of an LED.
What comes in the box and how it is powered
The set is the string itself with a battery box at one end of the wire. The box takes two AA batteries, which the manufacturer does not supply — they have to be bought before the lights are first switched on.
Battery power means the string does not have to end at a socket: it can be laid along a shelf, dropped into a vase or run down the middle of a table, and the only constraint is somewhere to tuck the box away.
How much it covers and where to hang it
The string is 120 cm end to end, so it covers the width of an ordinary shelf or the top edge of a window rather than a whole wall — a longer run needs two sets. It weighs 145 g with the bottles on, light enough for ordinary double-sided tape or a single adhesive hook to carry.
The LEDs sit inside the glass and the glitter scatters their light around the walls of each bottle, so the whole bottle lights up rather than a point in the middle of it.
Materials and limits
The bottles are glass, the bows are ribbon and the conductor is iron wire in a silver sheath; the battery box is plastic. The manufacturer specifies the string for indoor use only — it has no protection against moisture, so it is not for a terrace or for dressing the outside of a window. The box measures 25.5 × 8.5 × 3 cm; the string goes back into it after the season — the simplest way to stop the glass bottles knocking together in a crate of decorations and the bows being crushed under heavier pieces.
