Gold outdoor wall light NORLYS Asker Big 1303BD E27 IP65 up and down

NORLYS Asker Big 1303BD is an outdoor wall light with a simple elongated body in a Gold Patina finish. Its rectangular housing measures 30.2 cm high, 12.1 cm wide and 12.5 cm deep. The fitting sends light both upwards and downwards, illuminating two areas of the façade rather than projecting in only one direction.

Replaceable E27 light source

The wall light accepts one E27 LED lamp rated at no more than 9 W. A bulb is not included, so output, colour temperature and dimming capability depend on the lamp selected. The manufacturer gives an 806 lm, 8.5 W, 2700 K lamp as one possible example, but it is not part of the standard package. The luminaire operates at 230 V. The chosen bulb must match the socket, maximum wattage and conditions of outdoor operation.

Two-way façade lighting

Asker Big emits upwards and downwards to form two illuminated areas on the wall. An ULOR value of 50% means that half of the emitted light travels above the horizontal plane of the fitting. This distribution can define a vertical façade section, pillar or entrance area. The final shape and intensity of the light marks will depend on the fitted bulb and the texture and colour of the wall surface.

Construction for outdoor conditions

The body is made from painted cast aluminium, while the transparent polycarbonate lens is textured and UV stabilised. A silicone gasket and EPDM cable gland complete the IP65 construction. This rating describes a dust-tight housing protected against water jets and supports installation on an exposed façade. Net luminaire weight is 2.7 kg, while gross weight including packaging is 3 kg.

Mounting the 1303BD

The fitting mounts through an intermediate plate with two adjustable 5 × 10 mm holes at 45 mm centres, or directly through two Ø5 mm holes at 68 mm centres. Terminals accept conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow loop wiring up to 3 × 1.5 mm². The manufacturer specifies a round insulated cable with a diameter of 7–10.5 mm. Suitable anchors, cable-entry sealing and the permanent mains connection should be handled by a qualified installer.
