STYLE AP is an Ideal Lux outdoor wall light with an angular body in anthracite powder-coated aluminium. The upper part leans away from the wall and carries a downward-facing opal plastic cover. The fitting is 10 cm wide, 16.4 cm tall and projects 10.4 cm from the wall.

How much light it gives and where it goes

The built-in LED module draws 8.5 W and produces 1050 lm, of which 860 lm falls inside the 120-degree beam. The cover faces down, so the light lands on the wall below the fitting and on whatever stands directly underneath — a distribution for a doorway and a path along the house, not for lighting a whole yard.

4000 K is neutral white, cooler than filament light and easy to read against a facade. Colour rendering above Ra 90 means render, timber and planting look close to how they look in daylight, which is an unusually high figure outdoors.

Where it can be mounted

IP54 covers dust and splashing water from any direction, so the fitting can sit on an exposed facade with no canopy over it. The housing is rated IK06 for impact.

The manufacturer states an operating range of -15 °C to +45 °C. That is the figure to compare with winter where you are mounting it: in a longer frost below -15 °C the fitting runs outside the conditions the manufacturer allows for. It weighs 0.39 kg and fixes to the wall on a rectangular plate.

Supply and service life

The driver is built into the fitting, so nothing has to be bought alongside it; the manufacturer allows it to be replaced by a qualified operator only. The light runs on 100–240 V AC and is on/off only — a dimmer will not work with it.

The LED module is integrated and cannot be changed, so its stated 30 000 hours is the life of the whole fitting rather than of a lamp inside it. Class I means a protective earth conductor has to reach the box. The manufacturer's warranty is five years.
