Pieve is a pendant light built from two spheres hung one above the other: a larger translucent one in a brown-beige tone and a smaller milky white one below it. A black metal ring joins them, and the fitting hangs from a black cable ending in a black ceiling rose.
How large it is and where to hang it
The shade is 18 cm across and the fitting itself is 34.3 cm tall. With its suspension it reaches 154 cm below the ceiling, so close to 120 cm of that is cable — a figure to compare with your ceiling height and with the clearance you want underneath.
Above a table top the lower edge of the shade usually sits 70–80 cm above the surface. At 18 cm across this is a spot of light rather than a fitting that covers a wide table on its own, so over a longer top several are normally hung side by side.
How much light it gives and of what kind
The light source is built in permanently: a 6 W LED module that cannot be swapped like a bulb — once it is spent, the whole fitting is replaced. The manufacturer quotes 801 lm, a brightness close to the old 60 W incandescent bulb.
3000 K is warm white: warmer than daylight, but without the distinctly yellow cast of 2700 K. Italux states that the fitting cannot be dimmed, so the brightness is fixed.
Materials and interiors
Glass, metal alloy and ceramic meet in the construction, and the manufacturer describes the colouring as brown, beige and matt white. The upper sphere is translucent — the milky sphere below shows through it — while the black fittings and cable set the vertical axis of the whole shape.
Italux intended this light for the living room, bedroom, study, dining room, kitchen and hall, that is wherever a lamp hangs over one particular spot: a table, a worktop or a bedside cabinet. The form is modern: two smooth bodies without ornament, with only the black joints on show.
