Three cages, one below the other

SEVIL does not spread its light sideways — it stacks it vertically. Three open cage shades shaped as elongated forms hang from a single cable, built from thin black rods and joined by chrome collars. The shades are entirely open: no glass, no diffuser, so you see both the outline of the structure and the light passing through each level in turn. The lit section measures 50 cm at a diameter of only 12.5 cm.

Where that proportion makes sense

A column 12.5 cm wide and half a metre tall takes up very little floor plan and a great deal of height — the answer where a conventional pendant would simply be too wide. It suits a narrow console, the space beside a hallway mirror, a staircase, and a stairwell void where the vertical is exactly what needs filling. Over a kitchen island or a long table, two or three hung at equal spacing beat one in the middle.

15 W for the whole fitting, not per shade

An important distinction: the three light points draw 15 W between them and deliver 1068 lm. This is not a 45 W fitting — the maximum power of the whole light is 15 W. 1068 lm at a warm 3000 K is roughly one traditional 75 W bulb, which makes it supplementary, decorative light rather than a room's main source. With open cage shades, a fair part of the output lands on walls and ceiling anyway, drawing the shadow pattern of the rods.

Integrated LED, not dimmable

The LED modules are permanently built in — there are no lamps to buy and none to change; the manufacturer's 5-year warranty covers the whole fitting. The light is not dimmable: wiring it to a circuit with a dimmer will cause flicker or a failure to strike, so it is worth checking at installation.

Suspension and finish

Maximum overall height is 120 cm measured from the ceiling; the cable is shortened to the room height at installation. The structure is steel finished in matt black, with chrome details joining the shades, plus acrylic elements. IP20 restricts the fitting to dry interiors.
