JUCHITAN LE71505 is an outdoor wall lantern built from a rectangular open aluminium frame in a grey finish, with a clear glass cylinder standing inside it to shield the bulb. The fitting is 24.5 cm tall, 11 cm wide and projects 15 cm from the wall.
How much room it needs by a door
At 11 cm wide the lantern fits on a narrow strip of wall beside a door or between a window and a corner. The 15 cm projection is the figure to compare with the width of the reveal and with how close people walk past the wall — at that depth the fitting is within arm's reach.
The body is fixed on a plate screwed to the wall and wired permanently to a 230 V supply. The JUCHITAN series carries the same profile in a 50 cm tall version as well, so a pair flanking a door can be matched to the height of the entrance.
Which bulb has to be bought
The fitting has one light point with an E27 thread, and the manufacturer gives a maximum lamp power of 12 W. No bulb is supplied, so colour and brightness are yours to choose — and that power ceiling is the thing that matters most at purchase: an ordinary 60 W incandescent exceeds it, while an LED lamp of the same brightness stays under it.
The glass cylinder is clear, so the bulb stays visible at all times. That makes it worth picking a lamp that looks good in its own right, a decorative LED with visible filaments for instance. The fitting itself has no driver and no controller, so dimming is decided by the bulb and by a dimmer in the installation.
Running outdoors
An IP54 rating means protection against splashing water from any direction, so the lantern can go on a wall with no canopy over it, exposed to rain. The frame is aluminium and the shield is glass — two materials that take weather changes on a facade with no upkeep beyond washing dust and deposits off the glass now and then.
