KOSTER Double Head 1167AL Post-Top Luminaire Aluminium RAL 9006 LED 34W for Ø50 mm Pole - Norlys

KOSTER Double Head 1167AL is a Norlys post-top luminaire with two domed heads on arms either side of a central sleeve. The overall span is 82.5 cm, each head is 24.5 cm across and the luminaire is 22.5 cm high. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated in aluminium RAL 9006, with clear, textured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffusers under the heads.

Mounting: the head only, the pole is separate

The luminaire slides onto a pole with a Ø50 mm spigot to a depth of 80 mm — the pole is not included. Norlys pairs it with separately sold telescopic poles (items 1270, 1273 and 3011). A 3.7 m H05VV-F 2G1 cable leaves the luminaire and is connected inside the pole in a suitable junction box, so installation needs an electrician. The luminaire weighs 6.4 kg net and has a side area of 0.2 m² — the two figures that decide which pole can carry it and withstand the wind load.

Protection class II means double insulation with no earth conductor. IP65 protects against dust and water jets, and impact resistance IK10 is the highest standard class, which matters where the luminaire is within reach of passers-by.

What light it gives

Four LED modules with a built-in driver sit in the heads. The luminaire draws 34 W and delivers 3624 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white — light for lighting an area rather than for mood. Colour rendering of CRI 70 is typical of outdoor lighting. Ledil VSM lenses give an IESNA type V distribution, symmetric around the pole, and the producer quotes its photometry for a 4 m mounting height.

The luminaire is phase-dimmable, but only with a trailing-edge (TE) dimmer.

Where it works

The symmetric distribution from two heads lights the area around the pole evenly, which is why the catalogue assigns it to gardens and outdoor areas, parks and the surroundings of hotels and restaurants. The same luminaire is also available in black and graphite as separate items.
