Double 55/30 is a shade in apricot chintz fabric, built from two stacked cylinders — a wider one below and a narrower, shallower one on top. A white PVC panel closes the underside, and an E27 lampholder sits inside.
What it hangs from
This is the shade on its own, not a complete luminaire: hanging it takes a ceiling base or a pendant set, bought separately. The manufacturer names HEX, ELISA, ENZO, ETRE, KOMBIX, LISA, POSTE and TRIX as the matching sets — the one you choose settles how the drop looks and how it fixes to the ceiling.
The E27 lampholder belongs to the shade, so the set supplies the suspension and the wiring rather than the socket. The shade itself weighs 0.65 kg, which on an ordinary ceiling base is no load that calls for separate reinforcement of the ceiling.
How big it is and how it spreads the light
Fifty-five centimetres across is noticeably more than the 40 cm at which a shade keeps proportion over a table 80–90 cm wide — Double 55/30 is meant for a wider table or for the middle of a room. The cylinder stands 30 cm tall.
The sides are textile, so light passing outward is softened, and the closed white base hides the lamp when you look up at it. For this shade the manufacturer offers a separately priced PMMA diffuser under the numbers G11868 and G12300.
Which lamp it takes
The E27 lampholder takes a lamp of up to 23 W — an upper limit set by the manufacturer, not a rating you have to use up. No lamp is included, so colour and brightness are yours to choose; with the base closed, all the light leaves downward through the panel and sideways through the fabric.
