Norlys Lillehammer DC1587AL is an outdoor wall light designed to illuminate wall surfaces and façades with light directed upwards only. Its rectangular body is powder-coated cast aluminium in aluminium-silver RAL 9006, with a clear safety-glass cover. This version operates on 24 V DC and requires an external constant-voltage power supply. It is not a fitting for direct connection to a 230 V mains circuit.
Plan for light above the fitting
The integrated LED module produces warm-white light at 3000 K. The fitting directs its output upwards through a 60° beam, making the wall area above the body the important consideration when choosing its position. It is not an up-and-down version, and it does not provide a matching downward beam beneath the enclosure.
The complete luminaire delivers 115 lm, whereas the light source itself is rated at 532 lm. Use the luminaire figure when planning the façade lighting: the higher module figure is not the amount of light leaving the assembled fitting. Power is 3.6 W. The LED module supports dimming, but the control arrangement must be designed together with the external power supply rather than assumed from the fitting alone.
Dimensions and installation preparation
The body measures 18.5 × 11 × 8 cm. Fixing uses two 5 mm holes with 45 × 130 mm spacing. Before drilling, the installer should compare these measurements with the supplied instructions and the cable exit position. Installation and LED-module replacement require a suitably qualified person.
Materials and architectural character
A silicone gasket and an EPDM cable gland form part of the sealing arrangement. The fitting is rated IP65 with IK08 impact resistance. Its plain faces and lack of ornament combine Scandinavian character with a modern, minimalist appearance. The silver body remains a visible element on the wall, while its upward-only output provides a separate lighting accent above it rather than a symmetrical pair of beams.
