The 60 cm LIMEA GIGANT is a waterproof LED batten measuring 600 × 72 × 70 mm, with a black polycarbonate housing and an opal white diffuser. The LED module and driver are built in, so the fitting connects straight to 230 V mains and no light source has to be bought separately.
Sealing and toughness
An IP65 rating means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets from any direction, which is why the manufacturer allows installation both indoors and outdoors. IK10 is the highest impact-resistance grade on that scale — an accidental knock from a plank or a tool should not damage the diffuser. The batten carries a PZH hygiene certificate, so it can be used in rooms with stricter hygiene requirements. The operating temperature range given by the manufacturer is -20 to +40 °C.
How much light and of what kind
Drawing 20 W, the fitting delivers 3000 lm (the LED module alone 3250 lm), enough to serve as the main light in a small room. 4000 K is a neutral white light, and CRI 80 with a 120° beam gives even, wide coverage beneath the fitting. It is not dimmable.
The manufacturer states a lifetime of 50,000 hours and 25,000 switching cycles. The second figure matters where the light goes on and off many times a day, such as a garage controlled by a motion sensor.
Installation and wiring
The batten is surface-mounted on the ceiling or suspended. The supply cable enters through a gland at the end of the housing. It is protection class I, so it needs a protective earth connection. The manufacturer allows up to 22 fittings to be connected in one line. It suits garages, basements and workshops.
