Luces Exclusivas ORITO LE41725 LED Pendant Light, Antique Brass, Ø 45 cm, 18 W, 1020 lm, 3000 K

ORITO is a pendant light shaped as a flat 45 cm hoop of aluminium in an antique brass finish. The hoop hangs on thin steel cables gathered into a small rectangular ceiling plate, and its centre stays open. Light leaves only from the underside of the ring, through a textured transparent diffuser that runs all the way round.

How much light it gives and what that covers

The integrated LED module draws 18 W and delivers 1020 lm at 3000 K, a warm white. That is roughly the output of an old 75 W incandescent lamp — over a table it covers the dining zone itself, but in a room beyond about fifteen square metres it will not replace general lighting and works alongside it.

Efficacy works out at some 57 lm/W. The figure is lower than a technical fitting's because the output passes through a textured diffuser that breaks it into fine highlights rather than sending it in one direction. Since only the rim emits, there is no source under the middle of the hoop — the pool of light on the table is a ring rather than a spot.

How big it is and how low it hangs

Compare the 45 cm diameter with the width of your table top: a hoop this size covers the middle of a table for four to six people without reaching past the edges. The manufacturer gives a height of 180 cm, and that is the whole drop including the cables — the ring itself is flat and most of the figure is suspension.

A dining table top sits at 75 cm, so measure from there how much cable to leave if the fitting is not to cut into the sightline between people seated opposite one another.

Construction and connection

The body is aluminium with a satin antique brass finish, with no glass and no crystal drops — the texture of the diffuser carries all of the decoration. The light source is supplied, but the diodes are permanently built in: they are not changed like lamps, so the fitting runs on this module for its whole life.

The luminaire takes 230 V and is rated IP20, which means mounting in dry interiors — it is not suitable for the bathroom zone above a tub, nor for outdoors.
