Lucide TUBE Black Square Recessed Spotlight, 9 cm, GU10 22955/01/30

Lucide TUBE 22955/01/30 is a black recessed spotlight with a square frame and a circular tilting centre. Its aluminium body has a matt, spray-painted finish. This is the 9 cm square version, rather than one of the round recessed fittings in the same family.

A square face with a round cut-out

The complete fitting measures 9 × 9 × 2.3 cm. The mounting plate is 0.3 cm thick, which is neither the overall fitting height nor the installation depth. Lucide specifies a 7.9 cm mounting diameter and an 11 cm mounting depth. Before ordering, compare both the ceiling opening and the available space above the ceiling with these measurements.

The visible frame remains square even though the installation opening is circular. This distinction matters when replacing an existing spotlight: the frame width and cut-out diameter refer to different parts of the installation. A matching face size does not, by itself, establish a matching opening.

Choose the bulb and dimmer separately

TUBE takes one GU10 (MR16) bulb with a maximum rating of 50 W and operates on 230 V. No bulb is supplied. A suitable LED bulb can be used, with brightness, colour temperature and beam angle determined by that separately chosen light source. The fitting has no built-in CCT colour-temperature selector.

The circular centre tilts to change the direction of the light. Dimming requires both a dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer; the dimmer is not included either. The 50 W rating is a bulb limit, not the actual consumption of whichever LED bulb you choose.

Geometry for an interior lighting scheme

The square outline and concentric centre suit modern, geometric interiors. Consider the spotlight in a living room, bedroom, dining room, kitchen or hallway lighting plan. The final lighting effect depends on bulb selection and the arrangement of individual fittings. This model is intended for indoor use, not outdoor installation. Its Class I connection requires protective earthing and installation by an electrician. Installation materials are included, and Lucide provides a two-year warranty on the fitting.
