Lucide ZENITH 19791/20/02 is a 180 cm floor lamp that throws its light upwards. A shallow bowl 25.4 cm across sits on a slim tube, with a round milky LED panel inside it. Everything is metal, finished in brushed matt gold.

It lights the ceiling, not the floor

The manufacturer classes the fitting as an uplight: the LED panel faces the ceiling and the room gets the reflected light back. That distribution draws no hard shadows and does not shine into the eyes of anyone sitting beside it, but it depends on a light ceiling — a dark one returns noticeably less.

The bowl tilts vertically, so the beam can be angled towards a wall or a chosen part of the room. The fitting puts out 2200 lm at a 120 degree beam angle, close to three times a former 60 W bulb — at that level a floor lamp can be the only light source in a room.

Dimming and the light source

Brightness is set with a touch dimmer on the lamp itself, so neither a dimmer in the wall box nor a dimmable bulb is needed. The manufacturer describes a short and a long press of the button as the two ways to control it.

The LED module is integrated: it burns at 3000 K, warm white, with a colour rendering index of Ra 80, and it cannot be replaced. The manufacturer quotes 30,000 operating hours and 30,000 switching cycles. The lamp is electric class III and is fed through an adapter from the 230 V grid; its energy label is class E.

Size, weight and where to stand it

The 180 cm height is fixed — the manufacturer gives the same minimum and maximum, so the stem is neither shortened nor extended. Bowl and round base each measure 25.4 cm across and the base is 2.6 cm tall; that is the figure to compare with the free space beside an armchair or a sofa. The lamp weighs 4.6 kg.

The manufacturer lists it for indoor use only, which the IP20 rating confirms — it is not for a patio or a bathroom. The metal is electro-galvanized and brushed, so the surface is matt rather than mirror-like.
