Lunhold is a ceiling pendant suspension — the load-bearing half of a pendant lamp on its own: a white canopy, 100 cm of cable in a black and white herringbone textile braid, and a white E27 lampholder with a ring for a shade. Neither a shade nor a bulb is included.
What you add yourself
The lampholder takes one E27 screw-base bulb on a 230 V supply, and the bulb is chosen separately — with the holder left open, the bulb stays visible along its whole length. The shade seats on the ring of the lampholder.
The suspension is rated for a maximum load of 1.5 kg, and that figure decides the shade: a light shade in fabric, paper or thin metal stays under it, a heavy glass one usually does not.
Dimensions and drop
The cable is 100 cm long, so that is the greatest distance between ceiling and lampholder. The length can be shortened, but the adjustment should be made by an electrician, because the conductor has to be separated to do it.
The canopy is 12 cm across and 2.4 cm deep and covers the connection to the mains. The suspension itself weighs 0.34 kg, so the load on the ceiling comes mostly from the shade and the bulb.
Where it fits
A white canopy with a black and white braid is a Scandinavian-leaning combination: plain white plus a clearly contrasting weave along the cable. Several of them side by side spread the light along a longer worktop, since each suspension hangs on its own cable.
It is intended for the living room, bedroom, kitchen and dining room, and for hotel interiors. With a small shade the cable is what stays visible over the whole drop, so its weave works as a decorative element rather than only as a supply lead.
