Mandal 1373CS Rust-Colored Outdoor Wall Sconce, GU10, NORLYS

Mandal 1373CS is an outdoor wall light shaped like a half cylinder: a flat plate sits against the wall, the front is rounded, and a round glass disc closes the body from below. The galvanised steel body is powder coated in a Corten steel finish, the rust-brown tone of weathered sheet metal.

How much light it gives and where it goes

The fitting throws light downwards only, in a 25° beam. The manufacturer quotes a luminaire output of 250 lm at 3.9 W — accent brightness, a pool of light under the fitting rather than lighting for a whole driveway. Its ULOR is 0% and the BUG rating is B0-U0-G0, so nothing escapes upwards; that matters wherever light-pollution rules apply.

2700 K is warm, slightly yellow light close to a traditional bulb. A colour rendering index of Ra 97 lets brick, render or timber on the façade keep almost their daylight colour underneath it. The light can be dimmed, but a TRIAC phase dimmer is required — the fitting works on trailing-edge and leading-edge circuits alike.

What comes in the box

A GU10 LED lamp rated 3.9 W at 2700 K is supplied, and you can replace it yourself later: the manufacturer lists it as part 46102507 and names Osram LED Parathom and Philips Master LED PAR16 GU10 up to 4 W as replacements. Only LED lamps belong in this holder. The 130XX0009 corner bracket, which lets the fitting sit on a building corner, is sold separately.

Mounting and outdoor use

The fitting measures 12 × 9 × 10.5 cm and weighs 0.89 kg. It fixes with two screws through ø4.2 mm holes spaced 45 mm apart; the gland takes a round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter, and the terminals (max 3 × 2.5 mm²) let you loop the supply through to the next fitting.

IP44 protects against splashing water from any direction, IK08 against impact, and the manufacturer states an operating range of -20 to +45 °C. The fitting is protection class I, so the circuit it goes on has to carry an earth conductor.
