ALPINE 7046 is an outdoor wall light in white aluminium whose flat head angles away from the vertical wall plate and aims the light downwards. The diffuser takes up the whole underside of the head. The LED module is built in permanently and the manufacturer lists it as non-replaceable.
How big it is and how it spreads the light
The fitting is 16,5 cm high and 10,5 cm wide and stands 10 cm off the wall — little enough not to get in the way in a narrow passage beside a front door. It weighs 0,47 kg net.
The head is tilted and the lit face points down, so the beam falls on the wall and on the ground under the fitting instead of spilling sideways and upwards.
How much light it gives
The LED draws 6 W and produces 510 lm at 3000 K, warm white with a slightly yellow cast. An old 60 W incandescent bulb gave around 800 lm, so ALPINE 7046 is noticeably dimmer: this is orientation light at a doorway, along a facade or on a terrace, not a light source for a whole yard. Colour rendering is Ra 80.
The fitting cannot be dimmed and the LED cannot be changed — the manufacturer quotes 30,000 operating hours and 30,000 switching cycles. The light source is included, so nothing has to be bought separately.
Mounting it outdoors
Ingress protection IP65 means full dust tightness and resistance to water jets, so the fitting can go on an unsheltered facade. It runs on 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz, and protection class I calls for an earth conductor — live and neutral alone are not enough. The manufacturer gives a 5-year warranty.
The ALPINE family carries the same shape in dark grey and in a version with a motion sensor, and alongside the wall lights it includes 60 cm bollards — so one shape can be kept at the door and along the path.
