CREEK 8854 is a round outdoor LED wall light with a black polycarbonate housing (RAL 9011). The front is a round opal diffuser whose upper part is covered by a curved hood of the housing – which gives the fitting its distinctive, asymmetric look. This version is for wall mounting only.
Size and installation
The light is 17 cm in diameter, projects 10 cm from the wall and weighs 0.45 kg net. Compare those figures with the space beside a door or between two windows: the fitting is compact and does not reach far into a walkway.
It is protection class II, so it needs no earth conductor – a 220–240 V supply brought to the mounting point is enough. IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, so the light can hang on an exposed façade with no canopy over it.
How much light, and what kind
The light source is an integrated 15 W LED module included in the box – there is no bulb to buy, and the maker does not provide for replacing the module. The fitting delivers 1200 lm, clearly more than an old 60 W bulb, in a wide 120° beam that spreads across the wall and in front of it rather than making a narrow pool.
The colour temperature is chosen with a switch from three settings: 2700 K (warm, yellowish), 3300 K (warm white) and 4000 K (neutral white), so the light can be matched to other fittings on the façade. It is not dimmable, the colour rendering index is Ra 80, and Mantra rates the module at 30,000 hours – at five hours a night that is more than 16 years.
Where it fits
The light suits the façade beside the front door, terrace and balcony walls, and lighting the garden close to the house. The form is modern: a plain cylinder with a black housing and a pale diffuser disc, without ornament.
The CREEK series also includes white and corten-finish versions, stronger 20 W fittings, and models listed as ceiling/wall lights that can also be mounted on a ceiling. Mantra gives a 5-year warranty on this fitting.
