The Mantra LEVI 7187 is an outdoor ceiling light in the form of a cast 9 × 9 × 13 cm block of plaster and concrete, in the dark grey shade RAL 7024, with the aggregate texture left visible. The underside is closed with a glass pane in a stainless steel frame, held by four screws. One GU10 socket, rated IP65.

A material that looks like raw concrete because it is

The manufacturer states the composition plainly: plaster and concrete. This is not a concrete-effect coating on plastic, nor painted metal — it is a casting, with the grain of the aggregate and small surface irregularities visible. Two consequences follow. Aesthetic: the fitting sits naturally against architectural concrete, mineral render and stone, and every piece differs slightly in surface pattern. Practical: at 1.2 kg on a 9 cm block the fixing has to be sound — a plug matched to the substrate, not a screw driven into render.

IP65: full resistance to rain

IP65 means completely dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. The fitting can therefore hang under a terrace roof, in an arcade, on a gazebo ceiling, in a gateway passage and anywhere wind-driven rain reaches it. The glass pane in its stainless frame and the seal behind it are what deliver that rating — after changing a lamp the screws must be tightened evenly, since they set the compression on the gasket.

One GU10 socket — the lamp is bought separately

The fitting does not include a bulb. The GU10 socket takes standard LED spot lamps up to 12 W. That is an advantage: GU10 is the most common reflector cap in Europe, so the lamp can be bought anywhere and replaced years later without replacing the fitting — which is impossible with an integrated-LED luminaire.

For outdoor use, choose a narrow beam (24–36°) if the fitting is to draw a band of light down a facade, or a wide one (60°) if it is to light the space below. A 2700–3000 K tone works with the grey of the concrete; 4000 K reads more technical. The fitting is not dimmable.

Installation and electrical data

The block is surface-mounted on the ceiling and — as the manufacturer states explicitly — is not height-adjustable: it points straight down, permanently. Its full depth is 13 cm.

Supply 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz. The fitting is class I, so it requires an earth conductor — worth checking, because older garden installations do not always run an earth to the lighting circuit.
