DUNE DIA005CL-06G is a crystal flush ceiling light from the Dune series: a gold, wave-edged ceiling plate with a dense veil of cut crystals falling from it in two tiers. It is 45 cm across and 25 cm deep, and the light comes from six E14 lamps hidden inside the crystal curtain.
How much ceiling it takes and how it goes up
The body measures 45 cm at its widest and stands 25 cm below the ceiling, 2 cm of which is the plate itself. It hangs on no cables or chain, so it fits where a chandelier would already be too low — in a room of ordinary height the full headroom stays clear.
The fitting weighs 6.4 kg net. The manufacturer mounts it on a cross-shaped bar screwed to the ceiling first, so the fixing point has to reach a load-bearing member rather than the plasterboard alone. Protection class I means an earth conductor has to be brought to the terminals.
What light it gives and which lamps it takes
There are six E14 lampholders, each rated for a lamp of up to 60 W — that is the lamp ceiling, not the fitting's own consumption. Colour and brightness are yours to choose; for a living or dining room 2700-3000 K, a warm light, is the usual pick. The manufacturer lists the fitting as non-dimmable.
The crystals are clear and faceted, so they break the light in many directions and throw reflections onto the ceiling and the walls around the fitting. Supply is 220-240 V at 50 Hz.
Build and the Dune series
The frame is metal finished in gold and the drops are crystal. The wavy edge of the plate and the two tiers of crystal give it a glamour shape that reads as a decorative object even with the light off.
The Dune series carries the same shape as a pendant (DIA005PL-06G), as a larger ten-lamp ceiling luminaire and as a two-light wall sconce (DIA005WL-02G). The manufacturer offers every model in two finishes, silver and gold.
