Step P010PL-L30G3K is a linear pendant light: a plain metal profile 118.5 cm long, 4 cm wide and 8 cm deep, finished in matte gold. The profile hangs on two thin cables beneath a flat 55 cm ceiling bar.
How long it is and how high it hangs
118.5 cm of profile is about the length of a dining table for four, so the fitting lights the whole top rather than one point in the middle. At only 4 cm wide it blocks neither the view across the table nor the ceiling.
The suspension cables shorten anywhere between 20 and 100 cm, measured from the ceiling bar down to the profile. Over a dining table the lower edge usually sits 70–80 cm above the top; with a high ceiling the full 100 cm is useful. The fitting weighs 2.15 kg, and the ceiling bar is screwed to the ceiling with screws and plugs, the bar itself covering the wiring box.
The light it gives
The source is a built-in LED module: 180 SMD diodes drawing 30 W in total and producing 1400 lm, roughly what two old 60 W bulbs gave. 3000 K is warm white — brighter and less yellow than a traditional filament lamp. A colour rendering index of Ra 80 is enough over a table and at a desk.
The manufacturer states that the fitting works with two sources: one shines down through an opal diffuser that hides the diodes, the second throws light onto the ceiling. The beam angle is 120°, so the light covers a wide band rather than a narrow pool. The module cannot be swapped like a bulb — the manufacturer quotes a 30,000 hour service life and energy class G, which is typical of decorative fittings whose diffuser absorbs part of the output. The fitting is not dimmable.
Installation and where it fits
Step runs on 220–240 V mains and is Class I, so it needs an earth conductor — the circuit has to be earthed. Its IP20 rating restricts it to dry indoor rooms.
The narrow, unbroken profile with no ornament is a modern shape, and matte gold reads warmer and less reflective than polished brass. The fitting is intended over a dining table, for living rooms and bedrooms, and for offices and hotel interiors — anywhere the light has to fall on an elongated surface.
