Molde DC1905CS 24V LED Bollard Light in Corten Steel by NORLYS

Molde DC1905CS is a 50 cm post light with a powder-coated cast aluminium body in a corten steel finish (approx. RAL 8011). The head is cut at an angle and offset from the shaft; the light leaves from underneath it through a lens of clear, structured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate.

How tall it is and how it is fixed

The post stands 50 cm high and its footprint fits within 16.5 × 11 cm. That is the height the manufacturer computed the light distribution for — the photometric curves are given for H = 0.5 m, which is the fixture standing on the ground.

The base is screwed down through four ø7 mm holes spaced 18 × 50 mm. The ground anchor and the concreting anchor are not included — the manufacturer lists them as separate index numbers, as it does the mounting adapters. The fixture itself weighs 1.48 kg, and 1.8 kg boxed in a 51 × 17 × 12 cm carton.

How much light it gives and where it goes

Two LED modules of 3.6 W each work inside, 7.2 W together. The luminaire puts out 435 lm at 2700 K, a warm, slightly yellow light close to that of an old incandescent bulb. At that output the post marks the line of a path and lights its immediate surroundings rather than a whole yard.

The light is diffused and covered from above: the manufacturer states ULOR 2.89% and a BUG rating of B0-U1-G0, so almost nothing goes into the sky or a neighbour's window. Colour rendering is Ra 80 and the modules are binned to SDCM3, so consecutive posts in one run light alike. The housing is rated IP54 and is intended for permanent outdoor installation.

24 V supply and wiring

This is a 24 V DC extra-low-voltage fixture in protection class III, so it is not wired straight to the mains. It needs an external voltage-stabilised 24 V power supply, which is not included — it is sized to the number of fixtures in the installation.

Inside are terminal blocks for conductors up to 2 × 4 mm², with the option of looping through to the next fixture at the same cross-section; the gland takes round cable of 5–12 mm diameter. The LED module is designed for dimming at the supply, and only a professional may replace it. The manufacturer states L90 above 52,600 h and L80 above 102,000 h.
