MONRETA Luces Exclusivas Pendant Lamp LE45235

The MONRETA LE45235 is a pendant lamp built from three drops hung on a single round ceiling rose 37 cm across. Each cable ends in an opal-white glass shade, and above each shade sits a faceted ceramic element — every one in a different neutral tone, from mocha through cream to smoke grey.

How far down it hangs

The cables are cut to different lengths, so the shades sit in a cascade rather than on one line. The manufacturer gives 237.5 cm as the maximum height of the whole fitting — that is the drop from the ceiling to the lowest shade, and a figure to compare with your room height before ordering.

A drop that long pays off where there is vertical space beneath it: over a stairwell, in a room with a gallery landing, or over a table, where the drop is shortened so the bottom edge of the lowest shade sits 70–80 cm above the tabletop. The 37 cm rose gathers all three cables into one mounting point.

What kind of light it gives

The light source is built in for good: the integrated 20 W LED module is part of the fitting and cannot be swapped for a bulb. Nothing has to be bought alongside it, but when the module reaches the end of its life the whole lamp is what gets replaced.

The manufacturer states 1200 lm at 3000 K — warm white, a light with a slightly yellow cast, close to that of a traditional incandescent bulb. That flux is spread across four opal shades, which diffuse it softly in every direction, so the fitting works as atmospheric light rather than as the main lighting of a room.

It can be dimmed, but only with a TRIAC dimmer — 0–10 V and DALI controllers will not drive it. The dimmer belongs to the installation and is not included.

What it is made of

The shades are glass, the elements above them ceramic, and the cables and rose are finished in black. The manufacturer describes the colour of the fitting as mocha, and that is indeed the darkest of the ceramic tones; the other two are lighter, which makes each drop look different from the next.
