MORROS Luces Exclusivas LED pendant light, 22 cm smoked glass globe, gold LE44489

MORROS LE44489 is a pendant light with a 22 cm smoked-glass globe, through which a gold-tone core with a vertical, textured light element is visible. The globe hangs on a single thin cable below a round gold ceiling canopy. The LED module is built in, so there is no bulb to buy or change.

Size and suspension

The glass globe is 22 cm in diameter and the overall height of the light from the ceiling is 200 cm. It is a small body intended for hanging over a kitchen island or a table. Over a worktop, a pendant is usually hung so that the lower edge of the shade sits 70–80 cm above the surface, so compare the 200 cm with the height of your own room.

What light it gives

The built-in 8 W LED module delivers 934 lm, slightly more than an old 60 W bulb. That is light for the worktop or table below rather than main lighting for the whole room. At 3000 K the light is warm white. The source is the vertical element inside the globe, which lights up along its full height when switched on, with the smoked glass surrounding it on every side.

The light cannot be dimmed and the LED module is not replaced like a bulb, so the brightness and colour need to suit the location from the start. It runs on 230 V mains power.

Build and series

The shade is glass, while the canopy, core and fittings are gold-coloured metal. A smooth, unornamented globe and the pairing of smoked glass with gold give a simple, modern form. The MORROS series also includes larger 25.5 cm globes with stronger LED modules and a version more than 110 cm wide.
