Norlys Nora 2482GB Outdoor Wall Light, Beige Grey, LED 15 W 3000 K, Up and Down Light, IP65

Nora 2482GB is a flat, square outdoor wall light in powder-coated cast aluminium, finished in beige grey (RAL 7006). The front measures 13 × 13 cm and the fitting projects only 5 cm from the wall. Light leaves through slots of clear safety glass at the top and bottom of the housing, drawing two bands on the facade — one above the fitting and one below it.

How much light, and what kind

Two integrated LED modules sit inside, so there are no bulbs to buy. At 15 W the fitting gives 1079 lm, with half the output going up and half going down. 3000 K is warm white, and CRI 80 means ordinary, accurate rendering of the facade and planting.

The driver carries a power selector from 10.9 W to 15 W, set to 10.9 W at the factory. The published flux applies to the 15 W setting — if you want it brighter, the electrician moves the switch during installation, before the fitting goes on the wall.

The light is phase-dimmable and works with both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) dimmers, so with newer as well as older dimmer types.

Where it can go

An IP65 rating means dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the light can be mounted on an exposed facade with no canopy. The IK09 impact rating matters on walls within reach of passers-by, such as beside an entrance or along a path. The manufacturer intends it for lighting walls and facades.

Installing and linking several fittings

The light fixes with two screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 63 × 112 mm apart. It is a Class I fitting and needs an earth conductor. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and further fittings can be looped through with up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so a row of lights along one wall runs from a single supply line. The gland takes round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter.

Because of the inrush current, the manufacturer also states how many of these fittings one circuit breaker can carry: B 10 A — 37, B 16 A — 60, C 10 A — 62, C 16 A — 102.
