Nora 2495WH LED outdoor wall light, 8 W, 2700 K, DALI2, downlight, white RAL 9003 – NORLYS

Nora 2495WH is a flat, square outdoor wall light measuring 13 × 13 cm that projects only 5 cm from the wall. The cast aluminium body is powder-coated in white RAL 9003, and light leaves through a slot on the underside covered by clear safety glass. Inside is an integrated LED module with a driver controlled over DALI2.

What light it gives

The light is one-sided and directed downwards, lighting the wall below the fitting and a strip of ground along the façade. ULOR is 0%, so nothing shines into the sky or into windows above. The luminaire gives 518 lm at 8 W in 2700 K – warm, slightly yellow light close to a traditional bulb – with CRI 80.

DALI2 control and wiring

The light is controlled digitally over DALI2, so it can be dimmed and grouped from a controller or building management system. An ordinary phase dimmer will not work – a DALI installation is required. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow supply and bus to loop through to the next luminaire with up to 5 × 1.5 mm², so a row of lights on a façade runs from one line. According to the manufacturer, up to 46 of these fit on one B 10 A breaker and up to 74 on B 16 A.

Installation and servicing

The light weighs 0.85 kg and fixes through two ø5 mm holes spaced 63 × 112 mm; the gland takes cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. It is protection class I and needs an earth conductor. IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, and IK09 high impact resistance. The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service (kit ZN2495XX0009); the module lasts over 52,600 h at L90 and the driver 100,000 h. The plain, flat form matches the Scandinavian, minimalist character of the Nora series.
