The Asker Pole Pro 5207BL is a 350 cm lighting pole built from a two-section extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated black, with an LED luminaire integrated behind a clear PMMA lens on a silicone gasket. The head cantilevers sideways off the pole axis, so the light lands beside the shaft rather than along it.
How tall it is and how it is set
The shaft measures 350 cm, with a 39 cm reach and a 24 cm head — proportions meant for paths and driveways, not for a spot beside the terrace. The pole weighs 11 kg net, 17.05 kg gross, and ships in a 232.5 cm carton.
The base plate has four holes for M14 pins at 180 × 180 mm spacing and needs a foundation: the ground anchor (index 180) or concreting anchor (index 3091) and the mounting adapter (index 1259) are bought separately. The supply lands on terminals taking up to 3 × 4 mm², and the same terminals let you loop through to the next pole in a run without a junction box at every point. The round sheathed cable fits the ø8–12 mm or ø10–13.6 mm range.
The light it gives
The luminaire draws 19.4 W and delivers 2834 lm at 4000 K — neutral white, without the yellow cast of a 3000 K garden light. The Ledil T2-L lens produces an IESNA type III distribution: a wide, asymmetric beam thrown sideways off the pole, the pattern used for footpaths and access roads.
Upward light is 0.83% of the flux (ULOR) and the BUG rating B1-U2-G1 — the figures a designer uses where planning rules cap light pollution. A colour rendering index of Ra 70 is standard for road luminaires: enough for shapes and markings, not for true colour.
Dimming, durability and service
The pole is phase-dimmable (TRIAC) on both trailing and leading edge, so it works with an ordinary 230 V installation dimmer and needs no DALI controller. IP65 ingress protection and IK08 impact resistance specify it for year-round work in the open, across -20 to +45 °C.
The LED module and the control gear are both replaceable by a professional — the maker carries a service set with its own index for exactly that, so an electronics failure does not mean replacing the whole pole. Rated life is L90B10 over 100 000 h, the manufacturer's warranty runs five years and the anti-corrosion warranty on the coating twenty-five.
