KOSTER Pro 1820 is a park lantern supplied complete with its pole: a domed head 24.5 cm across, held out on a 45 cm arm from a ø50 mm column. The pole is telescopic, so the overall height can be set anywhere from 2.36 to 3.36 m. The cast aluminium body is powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016, and a clear optical PMMA diffuser closes the head from below.
What is in the set
The set consists of the 1819 post-top luminaire and the 1273 pole with an inspection door. The pole is bolted to the foundation with three bolts through ø10.5 mm holes set at 120° on a ø207 mm circle; anchors and other accessories are ordered separately. The connector in the pole takes a cable of up to 5 × 4 mm² with a round sheath up to ø12.5 mm. The luminaire is protection class I and needs a protective earth conductor.
How it lights a path
The 16.9 W Philips LED module produces 2776 lm, and 2700 lm leave the luminaire at a draw of 19.4 W, i.e. 139.2 lm/W. The Ledil T2-L lens gives an IESNA type III road distribution: the light spreads along the path and out to the side of the pole instead of forming a round pool beneath it. ULOR 0% and a BUG rating of B1-U1-G1 mean nothing is emitted above the horizontal.
At 3000 K the light is warm white, and CRI 70 is enough for orientation and reading the path surface, though not for faithful plant colours. Control is via DALI outdoor; from the factory the driver is programmed to maximum current, and Norlys sets other parameters on request.
Durability and service
The LED module and lens form an IP67 optical unit, the luminaire as a whole is IP65, and surge withstand is 6/10 kV. Norlys gives an L90B10 lifetime of over 100,000 h for the module and 100,000 h for the driver. The module and driver are replaced by a professional service using the maker's service kit. The classic shape of the head suits parks, hotel grounds and restaurant gardens.
