The Koster Pro 1823AL is a post-top luminaire from Norlys' Koster family — a classic, restrained shape that sits comfortably along a driveway, on a garden path or in a public space. It slips over a Ø50 mm pole spigot; the pole and mounting accessories are ordered separately.

Light and optics

The integrated 18.1 W LED module delivers 1878 lm of warm 3000 K light. A Ledil VSM lens shapes a wide, symmetrical distribution (IESNA type V), so a single luminaire lights the area around the pole evenly instead of drawing a hard pool. The B1-U1-G1 BUG rating keeps spill and uplight in check — worth having where neighbours and light pollution matter.

Build and durability

The body is a powder-coated aluminium casting in aluminium RAL 9006, and the diffuser is structured transparent polycarbonate with UV stabilisation, so it will not yellow or go brittle after a few seasons. IP65 sealing and IK10 impact resistance are built for year-round outdoor duty, while 6/10 kV surge protection shields the electronics during storms. Norlys rates the fixture at 100,000 hours and backs it with a 5-year warranty plus a 25-year anti-corrosion warranty. DALI2 control with NightDim lets you tie the luminaire into a lighting management system and dim it through the small hours.
