Moss 6161GR is a small Norlys directional spotlight: a round 8 cm head on a curved arm rising from a round base. The cast aluminium body is powder-coated graphite (RAL 7016), and the front of the head is closed by clear safety glass.
Wall or ceiling mounting
The fitting screws to a wall or a ceiling with two screws through 5 × 10 mm oval holes at 40 mm centres. It projects 13.2 cm and weighs 0.4 kg. The head can be aimed, including in the vertical plane, so the same spotlight can light a wall, a shrub or a stretch of path.
The wires are joined with a 3M Scotchlok 316IR connector that takes two or three conductors of 0.5–1.5 mm² without stripping. A junction box, a mounting adapter and clamps for fixing to a post or a trunk are sold separately. It is a protection class I luminaire, so it needs an earth conductor.
What light it gives
The integrated LED module gives 3000 K, a warm white, at CRI 80. The complete fitting draws 4.2 W and delivers 382 lm in a 36° beam. At 1 m the pool of light is about 0.72 m across, at 3 m about 2.17 m, so the spotlight picks out one feature rather than lighting the whole garden. It can be dimmed with a phase dimmer, leading-edge or trailing-edge.
Build and service
IP65 allows mounting outdoors without cover, and IK06 means the housing withstands a 1 J impact. The LED module is replaced by the Norlys professional service; the maker gives an L70 lifetime of 59,000 hours.
