The Nora 2472GB is a flat, square outdoor wall light, 13 × 13 cm, that projects only 5 cm from the wall. The body is cast aluminium powder-coated in grey beige (RAL 7006). Light leaves through clear safety glass at the top and bottom of the fitting, throwing two beams onto the wall in opposite directions.

How much light and what kind

The two LED modules give 1170 lm in total at a consumption of 15.3 W – 76.5 lm/W. That clearly picks out a section of facade, an entrance or a wall, not a whole driveway. Half the flux goes up (ULOR 50%) and half goes down, so it shows best on a smooth wall.

At 4000 K the light is neutral white, noticeably cooler than the warm light of household bulbs. The driver works in a DALI2 system, so brightness is set from DALI control – dimming needs an installation with such a controller.

Mounting and wiring

The fitting screws to the wall through two ø5 mm holes at 63 × 112 mm centres. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm², and the round-sheathed cable can be 7 to 10.5 mm in diameter. The supply can loop on to the next fitting with conductors up to 5 × 1.5 mm², so a row of these along one wall runs on a single circuit.

On a longer row the inrush current matters: 6.7 A for 2.4 µs at switch-on. The maker states how many fittings one circuit breaker can carry: 46 on B 10 A, 74 on B 16 A or C 10 A, and 119 on C 16 A. The light is protection class I, so it must be connected to the earth conductor.

Build and service

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, so the light can hang on an exposed wall without a canopy. IK09 impact resistance matters where the fitting is mounted low, within reach. The LED modules keep at least 90% of their flux for more than 52,600 h (L90), and the driver is rated for 100,000 h. The light source and the driver are replaced by a professional service – Norlys lists service kit ZN2472XX0009 for this fitting.

The plain, square body without ornament is a form in the Scandinavian spirit of the Norlys brand.
