Paris 1495WH is a Norlys outdoor wall light shaped as half a dome, with a body of hot-dip galvanised steel powder-coated white (RAL 9003). A satin, UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser closes it underneath, so light leaves only downwards — Norlys gives ULOR 0%, meaning no light is sent above the fitting.
Size and mounting on the facade
The fitting is 23 cm wide, 11.5 cm high and projects 14 cm from the wall. It fixes through two oval holes of 5 × 10 mm spaced 90 mm apart — the dimension to mark on the wall before drilling. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and a round-sheathed cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter enters through an EPDM gland.
It is protection class I, so it must be connected to a PE earth. The terminals allow the supply to be looped on to the next fitting (up to 3 × 1.5 mm²), so a row of these lights on one wall runs from a single circuit. Norlys states how many fittings one breaker will carry: 46 on B10, 75 on B16, 74 on C10 and 120 on C16.
What light it gives
The source is a built-in LED module with an electronic driver. The whole fitting draws 5.9 W and delivers 628 lm, a little less than an old 60 W bulb. 3000 K is warm white, and CRI 80 is adequate for outdoor lighting. A professional service can replace both the LED module and the driver — Norlys stocks separate service kits for them, so a failed source does not mean replacing the whole fitting.
The fitting is phase-dimmable in trailing-edge (TE) mode. Dimming therefore needs a dimmer of that type.
Protection and build
IP43 means protection against solid objects larger than 1 mm and against water sprayed at up to 60° from vertical. Hot-dip galvanised steel under the powder coat protects the body from corrosion. The plain, classic half-sphere suits the facade of a family house; the Paris range offers the same fitting in 4000 K and in black, galvanised and corten finishes.
