Skara 2936GR is an 85 cm bollard light made from extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016). The top section projects over the body like a canopy, and the LED module beneath it shines downwards onto the ground in front of the bollard.
How the light is distributed
The Ledil SCL lens gives an IESNA Type II/III distribution – the light spreads along the path rather than evenly all round the bollard, so the luminaire is set with its front facing the surface to be lit. Only 1.68% of the flux goes upwards (BUG B1-U1-G1), so the bollard does not light up the sky or the façade.
At 7.7 W the luminaire delivers 699 lm – about what an old 60 W bulb gave, concentrated on a footpath or driveway. 3000 K is warm white light, and CRI 80 is enough to make out paving and planting. The manufacturer declares flicker Pst ≤ 1 and a stroboscopic effect SVM ≤ 0.4.
DALI2 control
This version has a DALI2 driver (DALI-2/TD): brightness is controlled from a DALI system, not with an ordinary phase dimmer or switch – dimming needs a DALI controller. One B10 circuit breaker supplies up to 82 of these luminaires and a B16 up to 130, which helps when planning a longer run of bollards on one circuit.
Installation and build
The bollard is fixed with four bolts through ø7 mm holes on a 64 × 64 mm pattern. The concrete anchor (article 2934) is not included. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow loop-through to further luminaires. The luminaire is protection class II, so it needs no protective earth conductor.
The body is rated IP65 and the optical set itself – LED module and lens – IP67. IK08 impact resistance protects against accidental knocks, for example from a mower. The manufacturer states an L90 LED lifetime of over 109,000 hours and 100,000 hours for the driver; the module and driver are replaced by a professional service. The bollard weighs 5.5 kg and its footprint is 12 × 24 cm.
