The NORLYS Voss 1954AL is an outdoor wall light shaped as a closed rectangular box that shines downward only, in a very narrow 4° beam. The body is cast aluminium powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006, and the light window in its underside is closed by clear safety glass seated on a silicone gasket.

Size and where it fits

The fitting is 18 cm high and 16 cm wide and projects 27 cm from the wall — compare that depth with the width of the passage or pillar where it will hang. It weighs 4.57 kg, so choose wall plugs to suit the masonry. Norlys designs the Voss for lighting walls, facades and architectural details, and its IP54 rating and IK06 impact resistance let it be mounted outdoors without extra shelter.

What light it gives

The 4° beam draws a thin, crisp line on the wall below rather than a broad pool. Norlys states 629 lm for the LED module alone and 55 lm leaving the luminaire, so this is accent light that traces the vertical lines of a facade or sets a rhythm of several fittings along a long wall, not light for a path or driveway. ULOR 0% and a BUG rating of B0-U0-G0 mean nothing is emitted above the fitting, which matters when there are windows overhead.

The Cree LED module is included and gives 3000 K warm white at CRI 80. The luminaire draws 6.4 W and is not dimmable: it works on/off only.

Connection and servicing

The wall light is fixed through two ø7 mm holes spaced 100 x 80 mm. It is a protection class I luminaire, so it needs an earth conductor. The terminals take up to 3 x 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on (up to 3 x 1.5 mm²), so one feed can serve several fittings on the same facade; the EPDM gland takes round cable of 7–10.5 mm. The LED module and driver are replaced by a qualified service technician, and Norlys offers the ZS1954 service kit for this model. Module lifetime is 52,600 h (L90), driver lifetime 50,000 h.
