ZOE is a set of two round coffee tables shaped as solid cylinders — no legs, no base, just the body standing on the floor. Dense vertical fluting wraps the sides of both drums, the tops stay smooth, and the whole thing is finished in white matt lacquer.
Two heights, one form
The larger table is 80 cm across and 40 cm high; the smaller one is 60 cm and 35 cm. Those five centimetres of difference are deliberate: the smaller top slides part-way under the larger, so the two can be pushed together into a single irregular surface outlined by two overlapping circles. Set apart, they work as two independent tables — one by the sofa, one by the armchair.
Fluting and light
The vertical grooves are not only decoration: they break a large white surface into bands of light and shadow, which keeps the 80 cm drum from reading as heavy. The effect shifts through the day — under raking light the flutes stand out sharply, under diffuse light the body smooths almost to flat white. The matt finish does not glare, so the tops do not mirror ceiling lights.
Material and intended use
Both tables are lacquered MDF board. The set weighs 37 kg, which at this shape means the tables sit firmly and will not slide when knocked, though moving one on your own takes care. Lacquered MDF is an indoor material — the set is not intended for a balcony, a terrace, or rooms with high humidity.
